IPCITI 2014 is pleased to be able to offer two scholarships of a value of up to £250 for two participants delivering either a poster or paper presentation at this year’s conference. The scholarship is intended to cover travel, accommodation and/or participation costs, of up to this sum.

The criteria for the allocation of the two scholarships for IPCITI 2014 are as follows:

 - The applicant must have had her/ his paper or poster abstract for IPCITI 2014 accepted.

- The applicant must provide a 200 word motivation statement outlining why they wish to be considered for the scholarship.

- The candidate must provide evidence that she/he does NOT have funding from her/his home institution to attend IPCITI 2014.* 

*Evidence of the candidate not being funded by his/her academic institution must be submitted in the form of an OFFICIAL LETTER on the institution’s headed paper and signed by the relevant staff member (e.g. Research Secretary or Doctoral Supervisor) stating that the candidate is self-funded for IPCITI 2014). A scanned copy of the letter (e.g. in PDF form) sent as an email attachment will be acceptable. 

 

Candidates from IPCITI partner universities (i.e. Heriot-Watt University, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Manchester and Dublin City University) are ineligible to apply.

Upon receipt of all applications by this deadline the IPCITI 2014 Organising Committee will meet to decide upon the allocation of the scholarships taking into consideration both the applicant’s motivation letter as well as their previously submitted abstract.
